My Go-To Stress Fighters 

Stress! Stress! And more stress! New year, new goals and we’re all feeling supercharged to get it all done. Not to say that we won’t reach our goals because I certainly plan on hitting my goals as best I can and on time (okay – maybe close to on time). There is a lot that is balancing on my plate, both professionally and personally – just as there is with all of you! Let’s face it, stress may be a goal that we all make in the new year to relieve, but life doesn’t stop, and the stress carries on. We just can’t let it get so built up, that our plates tip over and everything crashes. That is the true challenge in this game called: life. So, how can we fight stress to keep us going?

Today, I will share some of my top go-to supplements that really helps to keep me strong and on my toes – or at least, try to keep me standing up right because well…motherhood. Enough said.

There are days that I am running around the house and forget what day it is or what task I was about to do. There are days that I put my ear plugs in (literally) and swear at myself for not getting a private office. Perhaps somewhere in another state. Then there is the fact that my two-year-old is in another, “I want mommy. All. The.Time” phase and while I soak it in, pushing my work aside much of the time and breathe her in – I can hear my google calendar stacking up behind me and my to-do list piling higher. I can feel the tears of worry and stress rising over what I need to get done, as I sing yet another ridiculously off-key version of Baby Bumblebee and sigh as she pulls me away to be the one to bring her to her next activity, school and pretty much everything else that she needs. What book launch in two months? Gulp.

Yet at the end of the day, I somehow and in some way (even if it is not that particular day) – get it all done. After all, that is who we are as mothers – a.k.a SUPERMOMS. No matter if you work in or out of the home or are a stay at home mom – our days are chaotic, but we get it all done because we have the ability to create magical mommy miracles every single day.

We just might need a little support to carry us through.

The plant that this product derives from (Solanaceae family) is a Tonic and an Adaptogen – which helps support you with your ability to handle stress and builds your immunity (and really improves your sleep!) In fact, when times get even more stressful, I take extra Gaia Herbs Ashwagandha Root Liquid Phyto Capsules, 120 Count, of just this root alone!

Holy Basil: Can I get two hands up for this herb?! I cannot stress how often Holy Basil is in the top of my favorites. It is an impressive Adaptogen and promote equilibrium within your whole system – making you the queen of stress fighting! It can also stabilize blood sugar – double win!

Rhodiola – Power herb! Making your body physically stronger, battling down that pesky cortisol and giving you a boost of mental clarity. This Adaptogen, derived rosea root (a.k.a roseroot) will help improve your mood and is a powerhouse in this product.

Oats – yes..oats! This seed has a healthy dose of protein and minerals – especially potassium and magnesium (both of those help promote healthy sleep!). Oats will help your nervous system stay balanced, which is a major plus when we are feeling stressed!
